Adams County Pet Rescue update for immediate release!
We have questioned and scrutinized the “success” of “Animal House”, that is, Rebecca A. Rodriguez and Alycia Barlow Hadfield’s “mission”, “claims” and writings about their successful “rebuilding an animal shelter in Othello Washington in 2014”!
Please be aware, for clarity, that Rebecca Rodriguez owns/operates the following web sites but they are constantly updated, changed, disappear, reappear etc. :
The actual video put together by Rebecca A. Rodriguez and uploaded to YouTube, can be found here : “Rebuilding Adams County Pet Rescue”
Now, here are several issues we have uncovered through intensive investigation :
Adams County Pet Rescue had already independently procured a piece of land for development for a new shelter after their shelter burnt to the ground and many animals unfortunately died. Rodriguez simply arrived to turn the rebuild into an episode for what she hoped would be a series picked up by major television networks – Animal House “Rebuilding Pet Shelters” and did none of the hard work with regard to acquiring donations or even the physical construction which was chaotic and disorganized.
Adams County Pet Rescue in Othello Washington had themselves independently already raised $250 000 over the past few years with no help from Rodriguez whatsoever.
The bulk of the work had already been done by the shelter!
All Rodriguez had to do was organize $50 000 in supplies and labour and film the event for self-promotion, infamy and money! In the end, she couldn’t even deliver that! She arrived with NOTHING!
Rodriguez claimed “Animal House” was a registered Charity at the time. This is NOT true. The ACPR construction was performed and filmed in October 2014. The “charity” was only registered 3 years later, in 26 October 2017.
Rodriguez raised an additional $100 000 from the public but there has been no public accounting of these funds whatsoever. $100 000 is essentially missing!
If Rodriguez was not a registered Charity as she lead the public and media to believe and she was NOT, did she declare the $100 000 donated by the public, as income to the IRS?
Rebecca Rodriguez promised a bronze statue to memorialize the work of 2 individuals who had been very involved with ACPR. It never materialized. Instead a metal horse trough was erected!
Due to the poor quality of “donated equipment” most if not all of it had to be subsequently replaced!
Why did Rebecca Rodriguez meet with the Board and convince/insist on pediatric spay/neuter when the Board had previously elected not to perform these operations due to them endangering animals’ lives? The answer is Rodriguez couldn’t get a $25000 grant for her show unless the Board agreed to 100% compliance with regard to pediatric spay/neuters. Thus Rodriguez put money before animal welfare! An “animal advocate endangering animals’ lives for money”???
Multiple members of staff resigned over the chaos and underhanded manner in which Rodriguez ran this project.
Multiple individuals involved with Rodriguez’s “project” were not paid and had to resort to suing her for payment. Is that not fraudulent?
Any person who spoke out against Rebecca Rodriguez and her “mission” were threatened with legal action despite their high-ranking status within Adams County Pet Rescue.
BOTTOM LINE : ONCE AGAIN INSERTING HERSELF INTO AN “ANIMAL-RELATED” OPPORTUNITY FOR THE DIRECT PROFIT AND FAME OF HERSELF. THE ANIMALS ARE ALWAYS LAST IN LINE TO DERIVE ANY BENEFIT FROM RODRIGUEZ’S INVOLVEMENT. It has and continues to be about a money-making scheme, filmmaking opportunities and infamy!
And where is the accountability and scrutiny of all this “fundraising”?!
